Ghana Tapered Shopper

These baskets from Ghana are woven from elephant grass, a completely sustainable material grown in the region. Most dyes used are plant-based, like sorghum. By twisting the grass, these baskets are made incredibly strong, with straw handles wrapped in goat leather. Each basket takes about two and a half days to weave.

As handcrafted items, sizes are approximate, and colors and patterns will vary.

Height measurement excludes the handle.
