Breed Highlights:
- Appearance: Classic “storybook duck” look with stunning silver, white, and chestnut coloring. Drakes and hens have different markings, and they grow into a large, impressive bird.
- Temperament: Generally friendly, calm, and easy to manage—great for families and mixed flocks.
- Production: A strong dual-purpose breed. Hens are known for good egg production (often 200+ eggs/year) and the breed is also valued for size and meat quality.
- Hardiness: Tough, adaptable birds that handle a wide range of conditions well, including Arizona weather with proper shade and water access.

What “Straight Run” Means:
- Straight run ducklings are not sexed (a mix of males and females).
- We cannot guarantee the male/female ratio in a straight run group.
Care Notes:
- Ducklings need non-medicated waterfowl starter (or an appropriate starter with added niacin) and constant access to clean water (deep enough to rinse bills, but safe for ducklings).
- Provide a warm brooder, dry bedding, and good ventilation.
- As they grow, they’ll need space, shade, and water for healthy feathering and comfort.
